Dr David Ward
Research Areas Cardiac electrophysiology and arrhythmias Biography David Ward qualified at Guy's Hospital London and after general medical training joined the cardiology department at St. Bartholomew's Hospital where he learned the art of clinical arrhythmology and the science of invasive cardiac electrophysiology gaining a London MD in 1981. In 1982 he was appointed as senior registrar to Brompton Hospital to establish a clinical arrhythmia service. In 1986 he became consultant in cardiology at St. George's Hospital where he founded the cardiac arrhythmia and clinical electrophysiology service. He has served on the councils of the British Pacing and Electrophysiology Group and the British Cardiac Society.
