How to access to electronic resources
Many of the e-journals and databases can be accessed directly when using the SGUL network (ie when you are on-site as authentication is provided by your location, known as IP address).  When off-site, you will need an Athens username and password to access any electronic resources which are not free. However, some of our electronic resources are only available whilst on-site.

• For St George's, University of London & Faculty Staff you can now access Athens resources using your St George's network login (e.g. to access your PC or email).  To try this new system please follow the instructions shown here  Accessing Athens Resources Using your SG Login   Please contact the Helpdesk in the Library, Computer Room 3 for any queries with this or the old Athens system.

Important note for NHS staff:
As a member of St George's Library, when you are using a computer within the Library, you will be able to access the full text of the electronic journals that the University subscribes to, as well as any resources that the NHS subscribes to. However, when you are outside the Library, you will only have access to the abstracts for the University's electronic journals.
