Receiving and Collecting ILL requested items
You can now receive your articles by email.
How do I do this?
You will be notified when books and whole issues of journals arrive. They can be collected from the Circulation Desk. They must be signed for and returned by the date shown on the slip inside them. Photocopied articles, which you can keep, will be sent to you in the post unless otherwise specified. Certain items such as theses may not be removed from the Library - they will be marked restricted access and kept at the Circulation Desk.
How long does the request take? Most journal requests usually arrive within 2 - 7 days. Most books & theses requests usually arrive within 7- 14 days. Please note however that supply times depend upon the organisation supplying the request and this is not within our control.
Urgent requests: it is possible to obtain items urgently (ie. within 2 working days). They have to be dealt with individually and usually cost considerably more to obtain. For an urgent request you should see one of the Interlibrary loans staff between 9am and 5pm.
