St. George’s Library is located on the 1st floor of Hunter Wing and occupies an area of approximately 2470 sq.m.

The library is divided in 3 functional areas:
  • Circulation, books and group study
  • Silent study and journals
  • Computer workstations

The Circulation area houses the Enquiry Desk, the books Self-Issue and Returns machines, photocopiers, 4 Group Discussion Rooms, Current journals and contains just over 130 study places in total.

The Silent Study area has 120 study places and contains the collection of Print journals.

The computer workstations and printing facilities are located in 3 Computer Rooms (CR1, CR2 and CR3) providing a total of 110 workstation places of which over 100 are on the St George's, University of London network; 4 are dedicated NHSNet workstations. In addition, access to St George's wireless network is available in the Library as well as overnight access to 55 computers (in CR1 and CR2).

Information resources:
Book stock - approximately 42,000 books and Audio Visual items; 200 e-books
Journals - 500 print subscriptions and over 7,000 electronic subscriptions.
