Teaching Quality Information
-
This page contains general information about the academic standards and quality of SGUL programmes that may be of interest to the wider public that is not already published elsewhere on the University’s website.
-
The Unistats website will help you compare subjects at universities and colleges in the UK. To help you do this, the Unistats site includes:
-
Student data - entry qualifications and UCAS points, continuation and achievement
-
First destinations data;
-
Contextual statistics (i.e. student domicile, age, level of study, gender, study mode of students);
-
National Student Survey results.
-
The Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) funds much of the teaching and research that takes place in English universities and colleges. HEFCE expects that, in addition to the Unistats data and to the information already included in prospectuses, universities will make available further documents that might be of interest to those members of the public who want to find out more about a university by looking at its policies and procedures and at internal reports on the quality of courses.
-
The purpose of this page is to meet HEFCE expectations.
-
Many relevant documents are already available on the University’s website. These include:
6. Please click on the relevant links if you would like to access these documents. In the 2007-8 academic year, SGUL will be running an Institution-wide student satisfaction survey for the first time. When the survey has been conducted and the responses have been analysed, the results will be published here.
