Enquiries

1. Enquiries before application

Every disabled person who is thinking about undertaking a course will be unique in some way. Unfortunately, we do not have the resources to give individual advice to all enquirers prior to application. The Admissions Tutors and Officers will not be able to give you any definite answer as to whether your disability is a bar to being a student and practising as a health professional until after you have applied.

If you need detailed advice about whether your disability is likely to be a problem in studying and then practising as a health professional, then in the first instance you should talk to your own General Practitioner or another doctor.

If, after this, you are still unclear about whether you would be likely to be able to manage the course, or whether your disability might be a bar to practise, then you could seek advice from Michael Woodman, (Disabilities Coordinator).
